Michael Osborne is a San Francisco-based designer known for his appreciation of the old-world craftmanship of letterpress and engraving, so he was a natural contributor to the book Design to Touch. Michael created this adaption of his famous Love Stamp commissioned by the USPS, specifically for the Design to Touch. He selected the ink colors — one metallic in the top left corner, and three opaque colors on a bright white paper. Knowing the capabilities engraving—perfect, fine lines for instance—Michael knew this piece would show how precise and sharp engraving can be.
